Advanced Brand Management

Nonprofits often offer a variety of programs. The challenge is finding the marketing technique that works with each program. To do so, it is important to think about your programs as independent brands or products. In this training, attendees will learn how to identify their programs as individual brands for better brand management.

Learning Objectives Include:

  • Design a differentiated marketing position for each program
  • Target unique audiences for each program
  • Develop a specific fundraising model for each program

ABN Nonprofit Marketing Certificate:

This workshop counts as 3 credits towards the ABN Nonprofit Marketing Certificate. To receive this certificate, a participant must earn 18 credits (six qualifying courses) within a two-year period. Level:

This course is intended for advanced professionals with 5 or more years’ experience in the topic. Please keep in mind, the levels are simply a guideline. Please contact Chloe Perry at cperry@betternonprofits.org for specific questions about the level of this course.

 

BIO:

Tommy Smith serves as Vice President of Marketing Strategy for Ackerman PR. Tommy is a marketer at heart. Prior to Ackermann, he served as Chief Marketing Officer for ORNL Federal Credit Union. Additionally, Smith worked for Dell, Inc. in Dublin, Ireland doing consumer marketing and brand management. He earned his MBA in marketing from the University of Tennessee.
