When we are being proactive through strategic planning, it also helps us in our fundraising, board development, marketing, and operations, all while helping us demonstrate measurable impact. 

 

Learning Objectives Include:

  • Understand the myths of strategic planning
  • Identify keys and best practices of successful strategic planning
  • Apply RASCI framework to move a strategic plan into practice

Level:

This course is intended for intermediate professionals with 1-2 years’ experience in the topic. Please keep in mind, the levels are simply a guideline. Please contact Chloe Perry at cperry@betternonprofits.org for specific questions about the level of this course.

 

BIO:

Daniel Watson serves as the executive director and co-founder of The Restoration House of East Tennessee. Under Daniel’s leadership, The Restoration House just opened Phase I of a new 24-unit community for single mother families, and has raised over $3.5 million in operational and capital funding. Daniel was honored as one of Knoxville Business Journal’s 40 Under 40, and is an alumni of Introduction Knoxville Class of 2011 and Leadership Knoxville Class of 2014. He served for seven years as a volunteer chaplain for the Knox County Sheriff’s Office. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Johnson University.
