Join ABN, the United Way of Greene County, the East Tennessee Foundation, The Fund for Greene County, and Rural Resources for our first training in Greeneville. ABN members and non-members are welcome to attend. $25 for one attendee or three for $50.

At 9am, the United Way of Greene County, the East Tennessee Foundation, The Fund For Greene County, and ABN will share information about scholarships and grant opportunities available to you. Then, from 10am - 12pm, ABN trainer, Mandi Cambre, will lead a training on using social media to fundraise for your nonprofit.


During this interactive workshop, you will learn about the various aspects of online fundraising through social media, why it is important, and how you can optimize it for your organization's long-term success.


  • Understand the role of social media in an overall fundraising strategy
  • Evaluate social media opportunities for maximum organizational efficiency
  • Assess risks and unknowns of social media fundraising
  • Apply learned skills to pursue fundraising and engagement objectives


Mandi Cambre is a communications and fundraising professional with over ten years experience in communications, marketing, fundraising, and capacity-building in both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors.

Born and raised in south Louisiana, Mandi holds a bachelor of arts degree from Louisiana State University and a master of liberal arts from Tulane University. After 11 years in cardiology and orthopedic surgery, her volunteer work led her to pursue a career in the nonprofit field. Prior to moving to East Tennessee, she served as  the organizational effectiveness associate at the Greater New Orleans Foundation, managing the organization's GiveNOLA Day for two years, and raising a cumulative $6 million for the region. After moving, she joined the United Way of Greater Kingsport and served as the director of resource development and communications. Mandi currently works for Leading Educators as the associate director of development and fundraising. Her consulting work focuses on helping nonprofits maximize efficiency and effectiveness in fundraising and communications. 

She currently lives in Gray, TN with her husband, James, and her cat, Marla Jane.
