As young nonprofit professionals, it is easy to get caught in the daily grind of getting up early, working all day, and returning home late; leaving little time to meet new people, enjoy the community, or assess your personal and professional desires, goals, and progress. Taking time to clarify your driving purpose, identify limiting factors, define and develop the skills necessary for achievement, and connect with your community is paramount to satisfaction and sustainable success.

This six-week series of workshops will be led by Kate Ziegler, two-time Olympian, Director of Marketing at Zone International Group, and mental training expert. She will lead the cohort in discussions and activities on the importance of finding clarity, confidence, and consistency within your personal and professional lives. You'll learn how to thrive as a young professional in and out of the workplace. Join fellow young professionals from across the region in learning new skills, gaining fresh insights, and developing a network of colleagues and friends on similar personal and professional paths.

Learning Objectives Include:

  • Learn the impact of emotions, thoughts, and feelings on personal and professional progression and develop methods for managing potentially limiting factors
  • Identify personal and professional motivations and learn to shift focus inward to a sustainable model of self-motivation
  • Learn to identify and focus on the right activities, cultivate intentionality, and streamline processes, shifting from a busy life to a productive life, freeing your schedule and mind to do more of what you love
  • Define your personal WHY and create a personal brand for clearly defined goals, purposeful pursuits, and more effective networking
  • Discuss methods and applications for being more assertive (not to be confused with aggressive) in interpersonal communication
  • Network and build relationships with fellow non-profit young professionals in the community
