Learning Objectives Include:

  • Learn the components of a year-end mailing that gets results
  • Discover ways to build your mailing list and involve board members in the process
  • Understand the impact of  “making the donor the hero of your story”

ABN Fund Development Certificate:

This workshop counts as 3 credits towards the ABN Fund Development Certificate. To receive this certificate, a participant must earn 18 credits (six qualifying courses) within a two-year period. CFRE Credits:

Full participation in How to Prepare a Successful Annual Appeal Letter  is applicable for 3 points in Category 1.B – Education of the CFRE International application for initial certification and/or re-certification. BIO:

Kim Lauth, CFRE has over 28 years of experience in the nonprofit field.  She has helped raise millions of dollars for charitable causes and led staff teams at both small and large organizations. She is currently the Chief Operating Officer for Positively Living in Knoxville, TN. Kim is a past president of the Smoky Mountain Planned Giving Council and the Great Smoky Mountain Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP).  She was named “Fundraising Professional of the Year” by AFP in 2016.  Kim has held the CFRE (Certified Fundraising Executive) certification since 2002. She’s a proud feminist and LGBTQ ally. In her free time, you can find her, along with her husband Kent seeing her favorite 1980’s bands in concert. She’s the one dancing like no one is watching.
