Purpose: MyLife Foundation is formed for the exclusive support and benefit of and to carry out the purposes of Sertoma Center, Inc.

Mission: Our team of employees provide opportunities for people with disabilities to achieve their fullest potential through residential experiences, community interactions, employment and job skills training.

Expected Meeting Attendance:
• Regularly attend meetings as scheduled (minimum of 50% of meetings)
• Attend standing committee meetings
• Attend Board retreats and other Board development activities
• Attend and participate in special events

Obligations of the My Life Board:
• Serve as a supporting organization to Sertoma
• Secure adequate funds
• Monitor investments

Specific Duties:
• Attend meetings and show commitment to board activities
• Be well-informed on issues and agenda items in advance of meetings
• Contribute skills, knowledge, and experience when appropriate
• Listen respectfully to other points of view
• Participate in organizational decision-making
• Support the organization either with resources, talent or financial
• Assume leadership roles in all Board activities, including fund-raising/events
• Represent the organization to the public and to private industry
• Educate yourself about the needs of the people you serve
