Girls Inc. of Tennessee Valley's Board of Directors is seeking a new member to serve as the board's treasurer. 

Duties:

• Keep a record of expenditures and receipts of monies involving the organization
• Work with Finance Committee, prepare the annual budget and present such to the Board of Directors for adoption
• Ensures that an independent audit is completed before the federal income tax statements are filed
• Provide a report at each Board of Directors meeting and at the Annual Meeting

Skills:

• Cost-accounting: prepare budget and track expenses over time
• Monitor costs for restricted and unrestricted grants and prepare reports on spending for funding organizations
• Monitor spending categories, to ensure costs are accounted correctly
• Familiarity with financial statements
