Never written a grant before? Are you looking for some guidance on the grant process so you can produce a competitive grant application? Come learn the "secret formula" - including the vital components of a winning application! Led by Margaret Dillon, the Grant Writing Cohort will meet on the third Wednesday from February to May and will guide you through the process of building a stellar application. You'll learn and workshop your application alongside your peers. At the end of the cohort, you will earn ABN's Grant Writing Certificate and have your own grant application ready for applying.

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn the basics of grant writing
  • Gain an understanding of the key components of a winning grant application.
  • Create an initial draft/template for a winning application. 
  • Create action steps to further execute a grant strategy for your organization.  

Trainer Bio:

Margaret Dillon has over fifteen years of experience as a grant writer, helping more than a dozen nonprofits across the U.S. secure over thirty million dollars in funding. Margaret has secured funding for essential programs in the areas of education, social services, employment, mental health, housing/homelessness, disabilities, senior services, and more. Margaret is also an experienced state and federal grant reviewer, providing expertise and leadership in grant reviews. Margaret is the owner of Sherpa Consulting and provides expertise in grant writing, fundraising, and project management to nonprofits and businesses across the country.
